Comparison
APICash vs. a one-off credit broker
A broker buys an account or a balance once. We settle metered usage on access you keep control of, and publish the terms before you register.
What you are comparing
APICash
One-off broker
What you hand over
APICash: A scoped, revocable grant: a workspace key, a cross-account role, or an Entra ID app.
One-off broker: Often the account itself, root credentials, or a transferred balance.
Who stays the account owner
APICash: You do. We never become the owner and never hold your billing console.
One-off broker: Ownership or the payment method usually moves with the deal.
How the rate is set
APICash: One published formula, versioned and applied to every partner.
One-off broker: Usually negotiated per deal and not disclosed.
What proves the payment
APICash: Itemized daily settlement records with the applied rate on every line.
One-off broker: A single quoted number, if anything.
How you stop
APICash: Pause in the dashboard or revoke the grant upstream; metering stops at the next cycle.
One-off broker: Depends entirely on the broker's terms.
Broker terms vary. Compare the contract you are offered, not this summary.
Terms we use
- Face value
- Provider list price for the usage we record, before any rate is applied.
- Recovery rate
- The share of face value a settlement line pays. It is fixed when the line is recorded.
- Reserve
- 10% of each release, held 90 days against upstream clawbacks.
- Grant
- The revocable access you give us: a key scope, a role, or an app registration.
